THE SCARE FACTOR!

Auditions: Sat Sept 25th - 10am to 5pm

You’ve heard of the X Factor now try the ‘Scare Factor’

Have you got a talent for Terror? Funtasia Waterpark and UK theatrical group AtmosFEAR are seeking new blood to join their ghosts and ghouls at Phantom Funtasia.

We are holding open auditions on Saturday, September 25 th in Funtasia Waterpark from 10 am to 5 pm.

Dress to impress in your scariest costume and give us the fright of our lives. Experienced actors and eager amateurs are equally welcome. Scare factor winners will be invited to become a paid member of the cast. In past auditions performers have dressed up, told ghost stories, performed illusions, wielded blood soaked chainsaws and even 'thrown up' chicken soup in order to shock, entertain, and show they have the imagination to become a cast member.

Information

Casting begins at 10am and ends at 5pm on September 25th. Turn up at 10am or 2pm and expect to wait. Successful auditionees will be needed on selected dates between Wednesday 20th and Sunday 31st October inclusive at Funatais Waterpark, Drogheda, which is 20 minutes north of Dublin .

We are seeking cast members who are able to 'think on their feet', react in character and steer the narrative back to the planned eventuality in any given situation.  Performers with strong improvisational skills or are who are used to ad-libbing, acting in murder mysteries or performing in street theatre, will find this style of performance easy to adapt to.

Performers will be based in interactive scare attractions and perform short scripts and deliver controlled 'frights' to an ever-moving audience. A cross between promenade theatre and 'ghost train', this will appeal to those with a quirky disposition or new starters wanting experience with live audiences.

Please remember :

  • You will need the ability to learn scripts, ad lib and interact with audiences is essential.
  • You will need the ability to move around quickly and safely in the dark is essential.
